The story behind the connections we build.

WHY THIS EXISTS

Too many independent artists spend money they don't have on exposure that never turns into bookings. Venues have no reliable way to find the right acts. We built the role that connects them.

A NETWORK, NOT A MARKETPLACE

We're not an app. We're not an algorithm matching keywords. Every introduction is one we've made on purpose — because we've taken the time to actually know the artist and the room.

For artists: a place on the roster costs nothing, ever. You keep control of your rate, your schedule, your brand.

For venues: membership means access to a hand-reviewed roster and a direct line to a person who knows the talent.

For the region: more good nights of live music, more fair bookings, a stronger Heartland music scene.

Meet Kay

The person behind the matches

I'm not a musician. I'm not a booking agent. I never set out to build a music company.

What I fell for was the people behind the music.

Over the years, I've met independent artists whose talent deserved a bigger audience — and venue owners pouring everything into keeping live music alive in their towns. Heartland Music Collective exists because of both of them. I believe live music is one of the best things a community can give itself, and that the people making it happen deserve a fair shot without paying just to get in the door.

Rooted in the Heartland, we build lasting relationships between independent artists and the venues that believe live music brings people together. This isn't a booking directory. It isn't a gig board. It's a community built on trust, authenticity, and a shared passion for local and regional music.

Some of the best music out there never touches a big stage. It happens in hometown bars, listening rooms, festivals, dance halls, breweries, and small-town venues — anywhere a performance turns into a memory.

Whether you're an artist looking for your next opportunity or a venue looking for musicians who actually fit your space, the goal is simple: connections that last.

If you're an artist ready to be found by the right rooms, or a venue ready to find the right sound — welcome. Let's build something worth showing up for.
